Redland Court Road, Bristol

These contemporary houses within the Redland Conservation Area involved the demolition of an existing single residence and the construction of two family dwellings with areas of 2,800 sq ft and 3,000 sq ft respectively and on site parking spaces. The buildings act as an appropriately scaled bookend to the street. The buildings employ a restrained, simple modern architectural language. Materials are borrowed from the site's immediate surroundings to provide context and create a sense of place. The project won the Redland & Cotham Amenities Society Gold Star Award for excellence in local developments.
