The building was originally an Odeon Cinema in 1935, and was later converted to The Lamorbey Baths swimming centre, and now the site is being given a new lease of life. External features include a stepped outline and a striking emerald-glazed brick façade on the front extrusion, an homage to the faience tiles that faced the cinema and are still found on neighbouring buildings.
