Farleys Yard, Bristol

The scheme is made up of two ‘strips’ of development down opposite sides of the sit, which are continuations of and existing development adjacent to the site. The proposed new blocks overlook a landscaped courtyard. This courtyard not only provides amenity to the proposed flats but also parking for 13 cars.

The design of the block that addresses Coronation Road aims to infill a section of lost street-scape and to reinterpret the rhythm and scale of the existing terraced houses in a contemporary way. This is achieved by proposing precast stone framed bay windows infilled with glass and lead panels. These bays along with window openings are arranged so as to match the rhythm and pattern of the surrounding terraced houses.
